 APCSS said farewell to Pam Ronan, Rob Thomas, and Fr Rob Davoren at its recent meeting at St Michael&#39;s College.

 Kath McGuigan, Maria Urbano and Peter Daw respectively did the honours in farewelling and thanking those leaving for their significant contributions.

 The Chair of APCSS Dr Paul Rijken, was recently conferred with the PAI John Laing Award Professional Development Award 2017 (Catholic sector).

 Throughout his career, Paul has promoted professional learning through his capacity to engage his whole staff with projects aligned with school strategic goals, as well as the encouragement of individual teachers to undertake further study. He has led by example, and is recognised in the Catholic system as an outstanding leader.

 Fr Jamie Calder SJ led the Retreat on &#39;Fidelity at the Heart of Right Action&#39;.

 This was a three day residential retreat experience which offered Principals a series of meditations on the theology of interpersonal power. Sharing the Eucharist each day was a highlight, as was the opportunity to meet and host many of our Sponsors over Dinner on the last night.

 A former member of APCSS and colleague of many of those present, Bishop Greg O&#39;Kelly was the guest speaker, and entertained people with his reflections on his time as a principal in our system.
